Therapeutic Work

Cassell & Associates offers a safe and supportive work environment to grow vocational skills, addressing behavioral, cognitive, emotional, physical and social challenges which often accompany traumatic brain injury. In our almost 30 years of experience, we have identified 16 areas of work progression which are fundamental components of being able to obtain and keep community-based employment.

Additionally, the work our survivors complete is real work. We have outsourcing contracts with over 70 different businesses who rely on us to provide quality work in a timely manner. We have created a one-of-a-kind therapeutic work setting to ensure that survivors have the support necessary for success. Each unique work assignment varies in cognitive and physical complexity. This variety allows us to customize work to each survivor’s ability level and provide an appropriate progression of challenges while accommodating each individual's physical needs and creating an ergonomically positive work environment.

Survivors earn a competitive hourly wage as they complete a variety of assignments throughout their shift. By exposing survivors to many different types of work, some requiring use of specialty tools and jigs, they master new skills, boosting their confidence and pride in themselves. Work schedules are flexible and customized based on each survivor's individual needs and schedule.
